V-RROOM Bicycle Engine by Mattel

The V-RROOM bicycle engines from the Mattel were some of the coolest items one could add to their spider bike as a kid. I never had one and still don't have the original engine. This is the less popular Booster engine that works with a flywheel that turns as you pull the red lever. The engine I want (and the one you remember) was called the Hot Rodder engine and was battery operated with a key that turned the engine sounds on and off. Still, this version is a cool toy as well. Here is a picture (ripped from an eBay auction by Old Joes) of the Hot Rodder and a rare Sears knock-off version.
