Very few of my friends remember the Smoking Monkey dime store novelty toys but I recall vividly purchasing these as a child. They cost about $.15 and I used to buy them all the time. Pop them out of the package, slide one of the special cigarettes into the monkey's mouth, light it up, and watch him smoke. How cool is that???? Complete display cards like this one seem to be readily available on eBay. Vintage 1950's and 1960's by manufacturer unknown.
Below the cheap plastic monkeys is a newer ceramic version produced by Accoutrements.
