None of my toys are for sale

Ideal's Sky-Writer is among the coolest uses of LEDs I've ever seen. Seven red LEDs would spell out a message up to 40 characters long when one waved the wand. A keyboard on the back of the toy allowed one to key in letters, numbers, and a few punctuation marks. My set was factory sealed--and factory broken when I received it. It will only display the default message, none that I type in work (sigh). Item number 6070-7 dated 1981.

Other toys in my collection that let you signal your friends from a distance: Twin Navy Blinker Code-Lites from Hassenfeld Bros. (Hasbro) and Sixfinger by Topper.
